So, it's a New Year

I'm not sure what this new year will bring, I am semi-sympathetic, I suppose it's because nothing went as I had planned last year, maybe that's my fault. They say if you want to hear God laugh tell him what you have planned. ::sigh::  He is probably laughing out loud at me.

I didn't make any resolutions, I don't believe in them. Anything that I could start on January first I could have started 2-3 weeks months ago if I really wanted to make a change. I actually get a quiet little chuckle out of all of those who make resolutions to quit smoking or to lose weight...lol. I am curious about how many people (statistically) stay committed to these tricks of the mind. We shall see.

It's amazing how refreshing and redundant a new year is though. New aspirations, hopes and dreams that come along with old debt and problems that slyly followed you in from the last year. As soon as I open up my new savings account in hopes to save a little change, that bitch Sallie Mae emails me to kindly remind me that I owe her $30K. At least I get comfort from her constant consistency. I know she'll always be there for me, I can always count on her emails and phone calls if I can't count on anyone else. Yep, Mrs. Me and I will be sure friends for years to come.

With that said I pray you find comfort in this new year, may you find peace and prosperity and a wealth of new knowledge that overflows and may all your debt collectors catch crabs and their arms be too short to scratch.
